Start your Personafile...
- On the Personafile homepage, click "Join Now".
- Enter the required New Account information... along with the verification code.
- Click "Create My Personafile".
- Your Personafile account Start Page will open allowing you to add your products.
Add / Catalog products & Record purchase details...
- You can now use Personafile's search bar, in the upper right hand corner of your Start Page, to enter the name or model number of the product you wish to Catalog and view.
- Click the small + (add) button to the left of your product to add your product to your Personafile.
- Your product will be cataloged in your Personafile. The Product Venue for the product you selected will be displayed. Once it appears you will have direct access to the detailed information and web-based resources that have been organized for you.
- Once you Catalog your products you can then choose to enter your Purchase details by clicking the "Edit" link on the upper right of the product venue.
- Your Personafile will maintain a record of the purchase details you provide for your future reference. The purchase details will be included in the Product Venue associated with your product.
Product Venues... the information and resources they contain.
- Each product you place in your Personafile generates a Product Venue. Each Product Venue is personalized for you. It actively organizes the relevant information and web-based resources you need to manage and enhance the products you own, or are considering buying. The personal information you place in each of your Product Venues remains private and secure.

Rate, Categorize, & Tag your products...
- Once you have cataloged your products and recorded the purchase details you can Rate the product to show others in the Personafile community what you think. Each product is automatically assigned to a product category. You can change your product's pre-assigned Category to one you prefer. If you need to further refine the product's category for future reference you can Tag it with multiple keywords.
Add Notes, Receipts, Documents, Images to your Products Venues
- To help you capture and maintain additional detail about a specific product you can add Notes, Receipts, Documents, and Images to each Product Venues. Each Note, Document, or Image you add can be desiginated as Private (Me Only), Private (Me + Shared), or Public (Everyone). This feature allows you to keep information that you add comletely private, or it allows you to share some of the information with friends, family, or the public.
My Product Page... displays your products along with your Public Notes.
- By designiating a Product Note as Public (Everyone) the Note will be shown on you're My Products Page as shown below.
- To have your favorite products appear on you're My Products Page, click the Public radio button on the Rate & Categorize setting.
- Your My Product Page shows an [i] link to your products along with the Public Notes you place.
- You can place the URL to you're My Products Page in emails, web spaces, and blogs.
For example the URL for this example user is http://personafile.com/newuser/public
Tell Us... you can help keep Personafile Product Venues up-to-date
- The Personafile user community can help Personafile keep important information in each Product Venue up-to-date by using the Tell Us feature.
Share / Email your Product Venue with family, friends, & associates
- You can share your product information, along with any details, Notes, Documents & Images you wish to share with family, friends, and associates.
- The individuals you sent a Share/Email notice to will receive an email directly from your email account (you select which email account you want to use). The email will include a note from you, along with a Personafile [i] link. The [i] link is an graphic representation of the product you shared. If the individual already has a Personafile account a simply click on the [i] link will place the Product Venue in his or her Personafile. If the individual does not have a Personafile account he or she will click on the [i] link to open a Public Venue for the product you shared. These individuals will then be given an invitation to open an account to see the complete product information and detail of the product you shared.

Tell Me... How your products communicate their status
- Your Personafile communicates with you regarding the status of each of your products across time. For each in your Personafile you can designate the conditions that will trigger a communication to you. These communications can be sent in the form of an email alert, a periodic report, and a listing of events in each product venue.
- Use the Tell Me feature in each product venue to select the product Events that merit your attention.
- The Apple iPhone Venue shown below shows several examples of the Tell Me functionality.
Moving to your Home Page from the Start Page
- After you have added several products to your Personafile you can move to your Home Page to view your list of products. Simply click the Use Home button on the Start Page. This action will permanently dismiss the start page for you.
- Your Home Page will show a chronological list of your products, along with some supporting detail. It will also display any recent Events your products may have communicated to you.
- Your Home Page allows you to select the Product Categories you wish to display.
Invite family, friends and associates to join the Personafile community.
- You can use the Invite link on the top of your Home Page to invite family, friends and associates to the Personafile community.
- Simply enter the email addresses of the folks you want to invite and send them a quick message.
- Your invitees will receive your invitation in their email. It will include a link to set up a Personafile account.
